" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe in the power of collective action to advance equity in education. By connecting with like-minded peers and harnessing our diverse skills, we can drive meaningful change in our communities. My commitment to educational equity stems from my fundemental belief that educating younger generations is essential for cultivating informed global citizens who can effectively address and engage with critical global challenges. As a Millennium Fellow, I am eager to collaborate, innovate, and remove all barriers in the way of education, science and impactful action. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Raspberry2Go
My project aims to bridge the digital gap between rural and urban school children by building an accessible, sustainable, and interactive learning ecosystem for underserved students. I utilize the Raspberry Pi 5 SBC to provide affordable, low-power computing that works even in off-grid areas through solar power. I have developed a cross-platform web app using Node.js to deliver personalized content, also available offline to address connectivity challenges. Docker containers manage essential services, including a cloud-hosted Moodle LMS for structured courses, while Grafana dashboards track engagement and performance metrics, offering real-time insights to educators and students. A robust backend built with Python and MongoDB ensures scalability and data integrity, with the entire infrastructure hosted offline. Through this project, I strive to democratize education and create an engaging, sustainable learning experience for rural students across India.
