Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Cyber Chautari
Project Cyber Chautari—translated as “Cyber Gathering Space”— was initiated to address the significant issue of cyber safety and digital awareness within our community. With children as young as 13 using smartphones and engaging on social media, many are unaware of the potential dangers lurking online. These young people are especially at risk due to limited knowledge and resources, making them susceptible to cybercrimes and privacy breaches.
Cyber Chautari is designed specifically for students aged 13 to 20, focusing on those in government schools who may not have access to resources for cyber safety education. Through our project Cyber Chautari, we aim to empower these students to navigate the online world safely,by educating them on cybercrime awareness, online safety, and digital literacy. By increasing their understanding of digital security, we believe we will reduce their exposure to cybercrimes, help them understand the importance of protecting their privacy, and guide them toward responsible online behavior.
