Millennium Fellowship Project: Paramendo - Waste Management Awareness Session
The Project "Paramendo" which translates to Rhododendron in the local language is an initiative to educate students about the effects of haphazard waste disposal, the importance of waste management, and the need for recycling in all the management processes. The project was conducted in one of the community schools of Nepal, Heartland Academy where the students of 6, ,7 and 8 (averaging the age of 16) were educated on the waste management concept and the need for recycling in the school. The projects involved 70+ students and 3 volunteers.
About the Millennium Fellow
Rahul Bisunkhe is a cheerful, bright, and young student of law at Nepal Law Campus. He was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and is currently studying in Nepal Law Campus. He has always been passionate about traveling and advocating the issues of the communities to make a positive impact in the communities of Nepal. The beautiful communities and ethnicities of Nepal have enriched his journey of making a mark in the communities of Nepal. Throughout high school and college, he has successfully led amazing projects addressing community problems and will continue to do so in the future. Rahul aspires to be the catalyst of a changemaker in Nepalese society where he hopes that he will contribute to empower communities to identify and solve their own problem.
