" I have always envisioned living in a better and more sustainable world and dreamt of having an impact on those around me, especially women in a vulnerable position. The Millennium Fellowship is what I believe to be a major stepping stone to success in my journey. As an ambitious Political Science student, being a Millennium Fellow will help enormously with skill development, teamwork and transforming the youth into exemplary leaders of the future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sanna
Sanna is a contemporary word that translates to workmanship or craftsmanship, which mirrors the process of production that goes into creating the desired output. It is an online educational platform that allows users to showcase their talents, knowledge, and hobbies through conducting them in video form. As globalization continues to influence our daily lives, the need to preserve and celebrate local culture becomes even more critical. In the UAE, where social and cultural constructs have long been valued, there is a unique opportunity to create a platform that not only educates but also inspires creativity among its users. As it targets both youth and older generations among different nationalities in the UAE, Sanna has the potential to foster intergenerational dialogue, enabling a deeper understanding of language and culture that can enrich the community as a whole.
We aim to start at a domestic level as a strategic move, as it allows us to build a strong foundation within the UAE. This localized approach will help us understand the specific needs and preferences of our audience, allowing for tailored content that resonates with users. Once established, expanding to include other Gulf countries and eventually reaching a global audience could amplify the impact.
