Millennium Fellowship Project: First Responders
The First Responders Initiative is a project aimed at empowering young individuals with essential first-aid skills. By utilizing available resources and partnering with local experts, the project seeks to create a network of trained first responders who can effectively respond to emergencies within their communities.
About the Millennium Fellow
Maryam Ummi Ahmed is a final-year medical student with a passion for promoting healthy living and nutritional well-being. Born in Kano State, Nigeria, she currently resides in Abuja, where she has been actively engaged in various community outreaches and health education initiatives throughout her medical school journey.
Maryam has held key leadership positions, including Treasurer of the Association of Muslim Health Students and currently serves as the Academics Coordinator. Her dedication to serving others extends beyond her association duties.She finds joy in reading, cooking, and relaxing with TV shows in her free time.
As Maryam looks to the future, she remains committed to making a positive impact on the world. With her medical degree and passion for healthy living, she hopes to continue contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
