" I believe it's crucial to listen to diverse young voices and experiences for the better future we wish to create for ourselves . The idea for my project first emerged in a nonprofit organization class, but it wasn't until I engaged with my peers, shared ideas, and faced challenges together that it truly began to take shape. This fellowship offers the same opportunity: to think unconventionally, expand our ideas, and make a meaningful impact. I'm excited to work alongside other students, expanding our ideas and contributing our unique perspectives to help shape a future that truly reflects our collective vision and values. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: HavenHUB

This project involved writing a report and policy plan for HAVENHUB, focusing on protecting individuals targeted by deepfakes. Through in-depth research, the project identified gaps in legislation, analyzed policy frameworks in Canada and other regions, and provided recommendations for stronger regulations. The findings aim to contribute to legal advancements in combating deepfake-related threats. The report is currently in the submission process for publication in a journal, highlighting its potential impact on policy discourse and legal reform.
