" I believe true freedom lies in mind empowerment and the ability to empower others. This belief fuels my passion for social impact and empowerment as these are the bedrock for progressive living and transformation. I have experienced firsthand the power of an empowered mind and being part of the Millennium Fellowship empowers me to rise to this duty call of self and societal empowerment.
I am excited for the life-transforming impact ahead as I embark on this journey of liberating and impacting young students by empowering them to take charge of their lives.
I look forward to the transformative effect of this project first on the students and the far-reaching impact that this would have on the society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Wellness Wave

The 5 fellows participating in this project utilized various collaborations to achieve the aims. The wellness wave consisted of a series of outreaches and rendering health interventions to communities and populations that needed such interventions.
The main objectives of the project were to enlighten various participants on the practice and benefits of healthy living and to promote a healthier society.
It featured the following;
1. Visit a vulnerable children’s home during the 2024 adolescent week to teach them about the peculiarities of being adolescents and how to dutifully navigate the stage and emerge thriving rather than just surviving.
2. Visit a rural community to teach them about the dangers of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetics.
3. Campaigns during World Antimicrobial Resistance Week to shed light on the dangers of AMR and how to appropriately use antimicrobials to prevent the epidemic of resistance.
4.It also featured teaching sessions to a group of young people where the advantages of regular health checks were highlighted and basic checkups were done for free for the participants.
