Millennium Fellowship Project: The CopyCon Writing Project
The CopyCon Writing Project is a project targeted at addressing the lack of sustainable income streams for university students and the financial challenges faced by students. The fast rising inflation rates and the difficult economic conditions have taken a toll on numerous students, with a lot of individuals struggling lacking the means to cater for their daily necessities. This initiative aims to serve as a bridge between skill and income. A number of students are skilled in the art of writing. However, they lack the means and knowledge on how to transform their writing into income. The project aaims to financially empower student writers as well as intending writers on viable, sustainable means to monetize their write-ups by leveraging resources and opportunities in the job market. The project was divided into three phases namely: a call for interested participants, an online webinar and community building society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mofopefoluwa Alabi is a final year student of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, University of Ibadan. Mofopefoluwa was born, raised in and currently resides in Ibadan, Nigeria. Mofopefoluwa is a creature who pays keen attention to detail. He is highly dedicated, hardworking and a goal getter. He is passionate about making impacts in his environment.
