" Creative Engagement and Leadership with insightful impact are what I stand for; if it must be done, it must be done well.
I stand by these words with my advocacy for change and, as needed, to gain guidance and good training before reaching out to cause change. My acceptance to be a part of the 2024 cohort of the Millennium Fellowship will not only make this come to pass but will also allow me to learn, unlearn, and relearn updated and good skills to better other areas of my life as this is a call to action "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridging Education Gaps

This project aims to provide crucial information about tertiary education to high school students in remote areas, particularly those affected by poor access to university education. By targeting senior high schools, we will inform students about the courses offered at the University for Development Studies, their cut-off points, and the preparatory courses they should consider. Additionally, we plan to create an easy-to-access database to simplify this information, making it more accessible and affordable for all.

About the Millennium Fellow

I am known as Jovial but officially REBCCA HARGO TETTEH, an Ecotourism and Hospitality Management student at the University For Development Studies, Nyankpala Campus. I am passionate about the environment, its sustainability, current effects, and impacts on the members of our communities. As an advocate for change and a climate activist, causing change and voicing out matters through Spoken word and audience engagement, especially young minds with creative ways such as the 3Rs of Sustainability is a way I stand out with my skills. I am part of the Green Africa Youth Organisation and that is how as a youth, I join in the advocacy to fight against climate and environmental destruction with the hope of the Sustainable Development Goals, coming to fruition.
