Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy Mother, Healthy Child

Medical Outreach: Medical outreach: Healthy Mothers, Healthy Children.
On September 29th, as a Millennium Fellow, current serving as the Campus Director Millennium Campus Network (MCN), I partnered with the Association of Muslim Health Students (AMHS) and the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN) to organize a successful outreach initiative for the women and children of the Gwiwa Eka Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp during the AMHS week.
Serving as the chairman of the education and research committee, I collaborated with AMHS and IMAN to secure funding and resources for this crucial outreach effort. Our team consisted of dedicated members from AMHS, IMAN, and four Millennium Fellows - Hafeez Galadima, Usman M. Kobo, AbdulRasheed Isa, and Ibrahim Hassan.
During the outreach, we provided essential healthcare services and support to over 300 internally displaced individuals. A notable highlight of the initiative was our successful resuscitation of an elderly man who was in shock, underscoring the importance of timely medical intervention in such vulnerable communities.
This collaboration between the Millennium Fellowship, AMHS, and IMAN enabled us to make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by displacement. We are grateful for the support of our partners and the tireless efforts of our team, who worked together to provide hope and essential care to those in need.
As we continue to address the needs of vulnerable communities, we look forward to more opportunities for collaboration and outreach. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Online webinar on the theme: "The Silent Pandemic; Zoonoses and Antimicrobial Resistance" was organized by my self to commemorate the world One Health day, in partnership with Student one health Club in Nigeria and other one health clubs in east and west Africa. We invited professors that are sound in Antimicrobial Resistance to deliver speeches on current trends, economic and financial burden, and resolutions of AMR
