Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness
Mental health stability awareness is a project led by millennium fellow Jennifer Onyeukwu. Mental health stability awareness addresses issues of stigmatization of mental health illnesses on individuals. The project aim to engage with members of FIU(both students and faculty) to reflect on social issues through open discussions that fosters deeper appreciation of mental health stability . During the millennium fellowship from August - December, the mental health stability awareness will host online events. We aim at reaching out to 200 people or more.
About the Millennium Fellow
Jennifer Onyeukwu is a bright, young and vibrant medical student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital. She was born in Sokoto,resides in Sokoto and currently studying in Sokoto, Nigeria. For as long as she could remember, Jennifer has always being passionate about impacting lives positively, desensitizing individuals about mental health illnesses. This drive translated itself from Jennifer's life experiences and interactions with individuals in different places. Currently in her college years she has done projects that bring about education on mental health illnesses and she likes , she plans on continuing in the future . Jennifer aspires to be a professional in the field where she can cultivate her leadership ability and provide contribution to UNAI and SDGs.
