" "Being able to live for others — this is what I think should be the height of accomplishment for anyone. That is why I am so eager to make impact, to give my time and energy to bettering the lives of others. The change we wish to see, begins with us." "

About the Millennium Fellow

Stephen Kwaku Adu-Kwarteng is a very curious and passionate medical student at the University of Ghana Medical School. He was born, raised and currently lives in Ghana. Coupled with his roaming interests ranging from neuroscience to Python programming, Stephen has held a variety of leadership positions, including currently serving as the Vice President of his class's Welfare Committee. Stephen has always been burdened by the social injustices he saw all around him. The less fortunate have always had a special place in his heart, so he from time to time joined in on and supported visits and donations to orphanages and the like. Stephen hopes to use his position as a doctor to deliver free healthcare to those who can't afford it, and to do his part in making the world a better place by working toward the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
