" I am eager to join the Millennium Fellowship program to develop innovative language learning resources and foster cross-cultural understanding through the Malay language. By bridging linguistic and cultural divides, I aim to create a more inclusive global community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Speak Bahasa Melayu

The "Speak Bahasa Melayu" programme is an initiative aimed at fostering cultural and linguistic integration among international students at Universiti Malaya. By focusing on Bahasa Melayu and Malaysia’s multicultural heritage, the programme provides opportunities for students to develop practical language skills while deepening their understanding of the local cultural landscape. This initiative aligns with Universiti Malaya’s mission to create an inclusive environment for diverse learners.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lujain Alhumaidah is a smart, strong and determined student in her twenties. She's born in Saudi, she's living in Malaysia and she's studying artificial intelligence in the UM university of Kuala Lumpur. Her life experiences are many thanks to a long series of travels, a degree in math and a few years spent in Italy.
Thanks to what she experienced she became more and more aware of the necessity of international students, the difficulties that might be experienced and the necessity of a pleasant integration in a new society. That is where her work starts and where she's willing to put her efforts.
