United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project NOVA

My project aims to inspire and educate secondary school students in Abeokuta about the transformative power of technology, clean energy, and quality education. Through engaging workshops and interactive sessions, we will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address local challenges and contribute to sustainable development. By fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking, we hope to empower the next generation of leaders to shape a brighter future for Abeokuta and beyond.

About the Millennium Fellow

Akinleye Ayomide Temitope is a mechanical engineering undergraduate at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Passionate about bridging the digital divide, Akinleye is committed to making technology accessible to all, regardless of background. With a focus on innovation and inclusivity, Akinleye aspires to contribute significantly to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by empowering communities through technological advancements.
