" I am honored to be a Millennium Fellow, joining a vibrant community of young leaders passionate about driving meaningful change. This fellowship aligns perfectly with my commitment to quality education and gender equality, allowing me to leverage my skills, expand my network, and collaborate with innovators who share my vision. I'm excited to contribute to, and learn from, this dynamic cohort, collectively propelling progress toward a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pathway to Equality: Educate, Empower

My initiative is titled ""Pathway to Equality; Educate, Empower"". This project is aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5. It was carried out at Isolu Muslim High School, Alabata, Ogun State, a government secondary school in my area. Understanding that the core cause of gender-based prejudices that lead to a lack of girls in STEM areas begins in secondary school, when students are assigned to various fields to study their desired courses. During the course of the project, these students learned about extracurricular themes such as Intersectionality, gender stereotypes, inclusive language, and, most importantly, leadership and empowerment. Additionally, Media Literacy was also taught to assist these students to navigate the Internet and speak out as well to reach online audiences."
