Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Communities Through Organic Farming

Organic farming: healthier living and food security entails production of organic farm produce which gives community members access to food that is safe, nutritious and meet the dietary needs for active and healthy life.I have been practicing organic farming which involves various practices such as using natural fertilizers (like compost and manure), crop rotation, managing pests through natural means (like using beneficial insects), avoiding synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and maintaining soil health through techniques like cover cropping and mulching. The goal is to cultivate crops in a way that's sustainable, environmentally friendly and healthier. Laying more emphasis on how healthy organic produce are, organic farming results in produce with fewer pesticide residues, potentially reducing exposure to certain chemicals. Produce also contain higher level of certain nutrients such as antioxidants
