United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Dispose Right, Wash Well and Stay Healthy

The project aims at primarily enlightening the public, especially secondary school children on the importance of proper waste disposal and standard hand hygiene in the prevention of common communicable diseases.

About the Millennium Fellow

Fidelis Chisom Igono is a young, ambitious and devoted medical student studying in the College of medicine, Enugu. He hails from Kogi State in Nigeria and resides in Nasarawa state in Nigeria as well. He is currently a 5th year medical student in the University of Nigeria, Enugu. For a long time, Fidelis is someone who is devoted to the cause of environmental transformation and human development. His actions has of course depicted this through his participation in many health outreaches and development programmes. He is passionate about improvement of public health, human skill acquisition and development and environmental preservation.
