Millennium Fellowship Project: Waste Management Recycling (Recycling Initiative)
The project aimed to promote sustainable waste management practices by collecting used plastic cans from households and institutions, and channeling them to end-users for recycling. The initiative sought to reduce plastic waste in landfills, conserve natural resources, and mitigate the environmental impacts of plastic pollution.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akpobasaha Oghenereke is a bright and ambitious law student at the University of Abuja. He was born and raised in the vibrant oil-rich city of Warri, Delta State. Now residing in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, Oghenereke is a passionate volunteer and advocate for Sustainable Development Goals. He has held and served in various leadership capacity and currently serves as the Humanitarian Director of Policy, Programs and Projects of West African Law Students Humanitarian Directorate, He is the State Representative for WALSA FCT Abuja. He is a microbial stewardship advocate. Oghenereke serves as Lead for The Little Cell of Mine Foundation, a sickle cell organization, showcasing his commitment to humanitarian work and community development.
