Millennium Fellowship Project: Vision Vitality Initiative
The Vision Vitality Initiative is a project aimed at raising awareness about refractive errors among secondary school students. This initiative which focuses on promoting SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) seeks to educate students on the importance of eye health, the signs of refractive errors, and available solutions.
By providing accessible and clear information, the project encourages early detection and intervention, ultimately promoting better vision and overall wellbeing for students. The Vision Vitality Initiative strives to empower young individuals to take proactive steps in maintaining their eye health for a brighter future.
About the Millennium Fellow
Onakhe Ojo is a young vibrant student from the University of Benin. He is a final year student in the Department of Optometry. He is an advocate of SDG 3 (Good health and wellbeing) and this is what fuels his passion towards accessible healthcare particularly eyecare for the common man. He has various leadership. and volunteering experiences from his campus years from serving as a faculty executive member to serving as a Plogging Nigeria volunteer to serving as a member of the Junior Chambers International to serving as a member of The Retina Initiative and many others. Onakhe aspires to be an international volunteer and advocate for eye health.
