I am excited to be a Millennium fellow because, this opportunity has brought me a step closer to achieving my dreams of being a change maker. The Millennium Fellowship is an avenue for me to become a better leader and advocate. This fellowship will equip me with the necessary skills, required to become a better change agent, maximize my potentials as an advocate, as well as providing me with an opportunity to utilize the skills acquired.
I do what all these because, first of all, I am very passionate about it. It gives me joy to see a society where equity, peace and justice reigns. A society where there are no human rights abuses, exploitations of various forms, and ignorance. I am very enthusiastic and committed to creating positive change in my community and in the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Advocacy And Awareness: Mind Your Mind
Sustainable Development Goal 3 addresses Health and Wellbeing. Mental health is an aspect of health that is often neglected especially in this part of the world. Mental health advocacy and awareness seek to address all issues that forms barricades against people seeking help on time
About the Millennium Fellow
Favour Onoyom is a talented and versatile Nigerian. She is 21 years old, she is currently in 300 level, studying Law in the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She enjoys reading and writing. She is a content creator, a writer, a video editor, a change agent, and a blogger on Facebook and WordPress. She has various published works and drafts in her name. Favour is passionate about creating positive change in her society, and in the world at large. She is an activists that is enthusiastic about advocating for her right and that of the people around her. She is also enthusiastic about advocating for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Favour is committed to creating awareness, on the challenges that needs to be addressed, and finding ways to actually solve them. Favour is a passionate volunteer and has become notorious for taking part in activities that impacts positively in her society. She has undergone physical and virtual trainings to help improve herself, grow and utilize/maximize her skills.
