" There is so much work to be done in our world today. If we want to live happily on this planet, some things definitely have to be put in place. People deserve to have all that the SDGs aspires to give them. No one should be marginalized. Being a Millennium Fellow gives me the opportunity I need to play my part in realizing these goals in my community and globally. This is a huge opportunity and I'm ready to explore it to the fullest. About the Millennium Fellow

Kwasau Emmanuella Myiriah is a medical student from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Born and raised in Nigeria, Emmanuella has always been empathetic towards the suffering of her people and has always been conscious of the need to empower the women and youth of the nation, as she believes that the future of her country rests in their hands. She became invested in contributing to her country in matters that are dear to her heart. After her secondary school education, she learned about the United Nations and their Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) and began to support it by playing her part to make sure the goals are attained. She joined seminars and webinars, organized outreaches, joined campaigns, attended conferences, and is on her way to start an NGO with focus on some of the SDGs. She is very excited to be a Millennium Fellow.
