About the Millennium Fellow

Otene Prince-temple Ojochegbe is a medical student at the university of Jos teaching hospital. From a young age, witnessing the widespread impact of non-tropical diseases endemic to his home country sparked a deep sense of curiosity within him and ignited a passion to drive meaningful change through medicine.
Whilst still in medical school, Prince-temple has taken on leadership roles that showcase his organizational and motivational skills. As the academic coordinator for his medical school association, he fostered an environment that encouraged academic excellence among his peers.
As part of his broader goal to improve community health, Prince-temple has centered his current project on enhancing environmental hygiene. He believes that improving the environment is fundamental to preventing disease and promoting better health outcomes. By addressing environmental factors, Prince-temple seeks to create sustainable health solutions that directly benefit the community and reduce the incidence of preventable illnesses.
