Millennium Fellowship Project: Red Days, No Shame
Red Days, No Shame, is a project that aims to address the issue of menstrual health and hygiene among young girls and also advocate against child abuse and discrimination on the girl child. It focuses on having conversations centered on mentrual Health education among young children who live in under-served communities who have no proper education on mentrual Hygiene and also face discrimination and poverty. No Shame hopes to dispel the shroud of shame faced by young girls who are menstruating. This will be achieved through:
1. Provide proper education on mentruation.
2. Teaching young girls sustainable practices of maintaining menstrual hygiene (use of reuseable sanitary pads)
3. Advocate against child abuse and discrimination of the girl child.
About the Millennium Fellow
Stephnora Mafeng Osedei is a passionate and driven individual committed to making a positive impact in her community. She is from Nigeria, and is currently studying at the University of Jos. With a background in tech and pre- med school, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a dedication to social justice and women’s health and safety. As a Millennium Fellowship applicant, Stephnora Mafeng Osedei aims to further her efforts in empowering women and promoting gender equality leveraging her skills and experiences to bring about meaningful change. She is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded peers to amplify her impact on a global scale.
