" I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because I am passionate about unlocking the
potential of individuals and communities through quality education and gender
equality. I believe that everyone deserves access to inclusive and equitable learning
opportunities, and that gender should never be a barrier to success. Through my work,
I strive to promote and advance the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, specifically
SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 5: Gender Equality, to create a more just and
prosperous world where everyone can thrive. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empower Ed: Bridging Learning Gaps

Empower Ed: Bridging Learning Gaps is a project aimed at giving children in low-income areas access to quality education by providing learning materials and teaching them basic literacy skills at no cost.

About the Millennium Fellow

Victory Amarachi Nwachukwu is an undergraduate at the University of Jos, studying
Linguistics and Nigerian Languages. She is a passionate lover of children and teens
and an ardent promoter of the Sustainable Development Goals centered on Quality
Education and Gender Equality. She has attended several events centered on children
and teens development and several trainings on leadership, growth and children
education. She believes education should not be limited to the four corners of a
classroom, but should include lifecoping and emotional support skills training. She
hopes to start up a foundation soon to actualise this belief, help out-of-school children
and make education accessible, affordable, inclusive and innovative. She also hopes to
further her studies after her undergraduate degree.
