Millennium Fellowship Project: Operation: Clean Lagos Gutters
Operation: Clean Lagos Gutters is a project targeting the communal issue of wrong and inappropriate disposal of waste in Lagos' gutters. A gutter clean-up event was held on Owodele street on the 6th of November, 2024, with the help of about 20 secondary school students from Atunrase High School and St. Joseph Snr Secondary school.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ayooluwa Chinedu Gbotolorun is a driven and astute 4th-year medical student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Ayooluwa has consistently demonstrated a deep passion for environmental sanitation, with a particular focus on combating littering and improper waste disposal. His commitment to these causes reflects his broader ambition to contribute meaningfully to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Ayooluwa aspires to leverage his medical education and personal convictions to foster healthier, cleaner communities, reinforcing his dedication to public health and environmental stewardship.
