United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: EmpowerU: Innovating Communities Through Education And Sustainability
The overall aim of EmpowerU is to create a more equitable and sustainable future by educating and empowering students and communities. Through a focus on equality, education, health, and sustainability, we seek to foster a generation that is not only aware of their rights and responsibilities but is also actively contributing to a healthier, more inclusive, and environmentally conscious society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Victoria Damilola Odukoya is a young, knowledge-driven young lady, and a sport enthusiast. She is a student of the University of Lagos, Nigeria, studying Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. From childhood, she has been passionate about social justice, volunteering, gender equality balance, and sports. This drive translated itself into Damilola's experiences in the International, National and local community. Her continuous dedication to human service has been a regular practice right from her teenage years. Throughout her secondary and current post-secondary education, she has been a great leader of highly effective teams. She has led advocacy visits and awareness across different communities in Lagos State, Nigeria, with themes on adolescent health and well being. She plans to continue in advocacy and hopes to excel at it in the future. This drive towards excellence is one achievement she anticipates from the Millennium Fellowship. She also intends to advance and hone her skills to deliver more services that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
