Millennium Fellowship Project: The SageMinds Initiative
The Sagemind Initiative is a project birthed after my secondary school journey. I lacked focus and proper direction on things I should have gotten involved and taken serious while in school. The initiative aligns with SDG 4 which supports Quality education and in a bid to achieve this, the project is divided into two Focus. 1)Student: Enhance quality education by helping to provide supplement and regular curriculum for schools in Lagos state and beyond. My goal is seeing a country where students value education and this can only be achieved through proper guidance and a clear path from early stage. Firstly, Career Awareness for children and students. Age range (7-16) Mentorship programs to help students in secondary school gain insight on why they need to take their academics serious and exposure to scholarship/essay opportunities. Book drive and equipping library with relevant books to inculcate the reading culture in children. 2)Teacher: Help teachers acquire basic teaching skills to encourage multi-disciplinary teaching and making teaching enjoyable for both students and teachers. Coach the teachers on how to incorporate Storytelling method in teaching and how to use basic tools like Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, Canva and Google Docs
About the Millennium Fellow
Favour is a passionate writer, media person, and digital marketing specialist with extensive experience in social media management and content creation. Over the years, she has successfully planned and executed various events, combining her organizational skills with a creative touch.
In addition to her professional endeavors, she believes in giving back to society in which she has actively volunteered with different organizations, contributing her time and skills to make a positive impact. She is particularly passionate about supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 4, which focus on good health and well-being, as well as quality education. Furthermore, she has a keen interest in SDG 17, which emphasizes the importance of partnerships for achieving the SDGs. She's always eager to connect with like-minded professionals, discuss exciting opportunities, and collaborate on meaningful projects.
