United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Indigo Project

The Indigo Project is aimed at tackling the issue of period poverty, which affects a large number of women and girls in many communities in Nigeria. Our goal is to provide women and girls with period care products and reliable information to stay safe and healthy during their periods. We do this by organizing period drives, enlightenment programs, and donations.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oyinkansola is a fourth year student of law at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is passionate about global issues and believes strongly in the power of young people to foster change in the world. She currently volunteers with AIESEC, a global youth-led organization which aims to develop leadership skills in young people and serves as the Legalities Manager.
Also, she as taken part in numerous Model UNs, as part of her interest in the SDGs. This year, she will be serving as a Researcher for the Lagos Model United Nations (LMUN) 2024 conference . She hopes to forge a career in international law and advocacy someday and drive working solutions to problems of the world.
