" It has been my earnest desire to make a lasting, positive mark in my community and contribute to making it better. The Millennium Campus Network (MCN) would grant me the chance to do just that.
I am excited and convinced that this experience will play a crucial role in shaping and preparing me for even greater impact in the future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: A Drug-Abuse Free Community
This project is dedicated to raising awareness about drug, substance and alcohol abuse, misuse, and addiction within my immediate community through the powerful medium of storytelling.
Drug abuse has been a persistent issue in society, particularly among young people. To make a lasting impact with this outreach, storytelling will be our key tool. Research has shown that people are more likely to remember and internalize information when it is presented in the form of stories. By harnessing the emotive power of storytelling, I aim to effect meaningful change within my community, especially among its youth.
