" "I’m excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it connects me with like-minded changemakers dedicated to creating lasting impact. For instance, my campaign team "Project Heart Check" reached out to the community through radio programme last week. I do this work because I believe in the power of youth-driven solutions to address global challenges and create a more just, equitable world." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Heart-Check
Project Heart-Check is a social awareness campaign aimed at combating hypertension in underserved communities. The project educates people on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of high blood pressure, with a focus on creating awareness through digital platforms, radio outreach, and physical campaigns. By targeting teens, young adults, adults, and seniors, it promotes regular blood pressure monitoring and connects individuals to accessible healthcare services. Through the #GetChecked initiative, the project seeks to empower individuals with knowledge and encourage proactive health management.
