Millennium Fellowship Project: Quality Education Through Youth Led Innovation

My Millennium Fellowship project focuses on SDG 4: Quality Education, with an overarching goal to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a sustainable future.
Recognizing the challenges in Nigeria, particularly the gap between education and employment opportunities, the project aims to address the lack of alignment between labor market demands and academic qualifications. Many graduates face unemployment, not due to the absence of jobs but because of a mismatch in the skills required by the labor market.
In a recent session with 100-level Educational Management students, I introduced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlighted the pressing need for collective action. Together, we discussed the challenges in attaining quality education and practical steps they can take to enhance their learning experience.
