United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: TechNexus

TechNexus is an immersive, hands-on technology training program designed to equip students with in-demand digital skills, foster innovation, and bridge the gap between academia and industry. Through carefully structured training modules in areas like frontend and backend development, cybersecurity, product design, social media management, and sales/marketing, TechNexus empowers participants to become job-ready and competitive in today’s tech-driven world.
The project prioritizes accessibility, collaboration, and practical learning, creating a supportive ecosystem for skill development and career advancement. By leveraging mentorship, interactive workshops, and real-world projects, TechNexus cultivates a community of capable young technologists prepared to contribute meaningfully to local and global economies.

Train and empower 100+ students with relevant technical and professional skills.
Provide pathways for career growth through mentorship and project-based learning.
Promote inclusivity and innovation within the university’s tech ecosystem.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yusuf is currently the Software Director of the Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) at the University of Ilorin. Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Yusuf is deeply passionate about leveraging technology for social good. He recently spearheaded the development of "BabyBond," a comprehensive pregnancy companion app designed to provide support and guidance to expectant mothers.
As an active leader and innovator, Yusuf has also been selected as a Millennium Campus Fellow, where he will further his commitment to fostering positive change through technology. With a strong focus on collaboration and community impact, Yusuf aims to continue driving initiatives that bridge the gap between technology and societal needs.
