Millennium Fellowship Project: Pad A Girl
Pad a Girl is a community-driven initiative focused on addressing period poverty by providing menstrual hygiene kits and educating teenage girls in underserved areas. Through this project, we aim to promote menstrual health awareness, reduce stigma around menstruation, and empower young girls with the knowledge and resources they need to manage their periods with dignity. Our activities include interactive workshops on menstrual hygiene and the distribution of sanitary pads to beneficiaries, with aspirations to expand our reach to more communities across Nigeria.
About the Millennium Fellow
Eunice Ameh is a young change-maker who is committed to seeing young ones find their path in life and excel beyond the ordinary. Following the Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) which she undertook, hosted by Leap Africa; She developed a strong desire for youth involvement in government, humanitarian projects, personal development, skill acquisition, and lots more which is part of the reasons we have YAA today.
Eunice Ameh is the founder of Youth Arise Africa (YAA) a nonprofit organization to stimulate young minds by promoting skill acquisition, community development as well as personal development. To promote social change that can be sustained, the organization focuses on investing in young people.
