ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Ability

Empowering Ability aims to promote inclusivity and accessibility for people with disabilities, challenging social and systemic barriers. On World Disability Day (Dec 3), we'll collaborate with local associations to organize awareness events, workshops, and advocacy campaigns, fostering a more equitable society.
*Measurable Goals (Aug-Dec 2024):*
1. Partner with at least 2 local disability associations by October 2024.
2. Reach a minimum of 500 people through awareness events and workshops by December 2024.
3. Collect and share at least 20 personal stories of people with disabilities, highlighting their challenges and triumphs.
4. Advocate for policy changes or implementations in at least one local institution by December 2024.

About the Millennium Fellow

Akoshile Fahis Taiwo is a dedicated Health Education student at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Passionate about SDG 3, Akoshile advocates for social justice, egalitarian society, and public health. As President of the Health Promotion and Environmental Health Education department, AIESEC member, and team leader for a medical company, Akoshile demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment. With extensive volunteering experience in outreach and rallies, Akoshile is driven to create positive change. Through dedication and perseverance, Akoshile aspires to inspire and empower communities towards a healthier and more equitable future.
