UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT FIYINFOLUWA VICTORIA BALOGUN, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
University of Ilorin College of Health Sciences | Ilorin, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 6

" "As a Millennium Fellow of class 2024, I am thrilled to be part of a global community of change-makers. I am eager to join forces with like-minded leaders to change the status quo and tackle the most pressing challenges of the world. I am excited to learn from my colleagues, initiate impactful projects, and drive positive impact in target 3.7 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Fueled by my passion to advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), I will take on advocacy roles, leveraging social media as a powerful tool to reach my target audience on a larger scale. As I embark on this transformative journey, I am sure I will be equipped with the knowledge and experience I need to advocate better for SRHR and mitigate unintended pregnancies in society."

Millennium Fellowship Project: EmpowerHer for SRHR
EmpowerHer for SRHR was aimed at educating female students in a rural community in Ilorin, Kwara State about sexuality education to mitigate unintended pregnancies and it's consequences in society. The students were related with like a relative and they were able to ask questions openly and freely.
About the Millennium Fellow
Fiyinfoluwa Balogun is a young, promising, and vibrant lady. She was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and that is where she has lived all her life. She is currently an undergraduate in the physiotherapy department at the University of Ilorin College of Health Sciences. Her passion for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) was instigated when her cousin became pregnant at a very young age out of wedlock. She looks forward to enlightening girls about SRHR and creating a community where girls can make informed decisions about their reproductive lives themselves.
