University of Ilorin | Ilorin, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 3

" My passion for health is deeply rooted in personal loss—the pain of losing a loved one to a condition that could have been managed with better healthcare and appropriate medicinal interventions. This experience fuels my dedication as a pharmacy student at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will empower me to amplify my impact, helping others access the healthcare they need to live healthier lives, aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Cervical Cancer Awareness Initiative
Our project, conducted at the University of Ilorin Secondary School in Kwara State, Nigeria, aimed to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention among young females. My partner and I educated the students on various prevention methods, with a focus on HPV vaccination. Our campaign slogan, "Get Vaccinated, Get Protected," emphasized the importance of vaccination in preventing cervical cancer. This initiative demonstrated the preventability of cervical cancer through HPV vaccination.
