Millennium Fellowship Project: Multilingual Health Outreach and Awareness
My project was about multilingual healthn outreach and awareness and my intention was to create health awareness by publicizing health tips in English and some of the various local languages spoken in Nigeria through social media channels like twitter and across various whatsapp community groups. I also intended to carry out this excercise physically in some local communities around Ilorin which i have not been able to carry out but which i will do as soon as i can.
About the Millennium Fellow
Praise Odeyemi is a Pharmacy student going to his 4th year in the University of Ilorin. Having being involved in several community services is interested in reducing the level of health awareness in local communities especially those communities where language barrier have been an hindrance to the general health awareness that have been conducted by various communities within the health sector. He seeks to do this by creating awareness programs that would ensure health awareness campaigns in the local languages of various communities.
