" I’m excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it’s a chance to bring my vision for community-driven change to life, surrounded by like-minded individuals who share my passion. For me, the work I do isn’t just about leveraging technology or education—it’s about creating a ripple effect of empowerment. I want to make sure that the young girl who dreams of coding or the student struggling to access quality education knows that they have the support and tools to succeed. This Fellowship will help me do that. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Ignite16+

Ignite16+ is more than just an event; it’s a journey designed to awaken purpose, spark transformation, and empower young minds aged 16 and above. As a platform for inspiration and connection, Ignite16+ provides a safe space for teens and young adults to explore their identity, develop crucial life skills, and create lasting impact in their communities.
This year, WarAID, is woven into the heart of Ignite16+. Together, we’re amplifying the message of advocacy, inclusion, and action against sexual violence and discrimination. With WarAID’s focus on education, awareness, and creative solutions, this collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision to inspire informed and intentional leadership in the next generation.
The program features:
Interactive Workshops: Engaging discussions on purpose discovery, advocacy strategies, and fostering self-confidence.
Skill-Building Sessions: Equipping participants with tools to navigate life and take bold steps toward their goals.
WarAID Initiatives: Highlighting programs like the ZeVaEdu platform, Art for Zero Violence competition, and WarAID Solution Exhibitions, where young leaders can learn, create, and advocate for a better world.
Social Connections: Relaxed hangouts that encourage networking, meaningful conversations, and lifelong friendships.
Ignite16+ x WarAID is not just a program; it’s a spark that lights the fire of change. Together, we are shaping a future where everyone has the courage to dream big, stand tall, and build a world free from violence and filled with purpose.

I was born and brought up in Lagos to Nigerian parents. I have a saying in my dialect that says "doka kowa a kain ka" meaning, take everyone on your head, which has shapened me since i grew up in a family were I was taught love and compassion. I have grown to practice these and it brought me the honour of being the welfare director of my school. Each afore mentioned position represents the weight of responsibilities i carry with ease as they resonate and align with my purpose. My philosophy is "If I can't do my best I'd rather leave it to rest than make it a mess I'm basically passionate about learning and of course relearning that has brought me motive to be able to create ripples and influence growth in all positive ramifications of my life.
