" Joining the Millennium Fellowship is an opportunity to work collaboratively with many individuals with shared goals of achieving social sustainability. It look promising to serve as a platform for social growth and empowerment and this aligns so much with my personal goals. One health approach connotes the importance of collaboration, the importance of protection of humans, animals and the ecosystem are intertwined because of the inseverable relationship all three share. One health approach spreads across several aspects, for example zoontic disease (most human infectious diseases are of animal origin), antimicrobial resistance, agriculture, global warming etc, to achieve healthier people, it is important that we take into consideration the whole factors that affect life rather than in parts. Integration the importance of protection of humans, animals and the environment is therefore necessary. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: One Health Approach to Disease Prevention

One Health Approach to Disease Prevention is an initiative that aims to call for partnership between different health sectors so as to approach health challenges holistically rather than separately so as to achieve better health outcomes. This project aligns with SDGs 3, 6 and especially SDG17.
