University of Lusaka Leopards Hill Campus | Lusaka, Zambia | Advancing SDG 5, SDG 10 & UNAI 6

" I advocate for human and women's rights because I have had first hand experience of how people are treated because they do not know their rights or simply because someone in a higher position disregards their rights and this makes people feel their rights are not important. Therefore, I took it upon myself to help all those disadvantaged person from such cruel treatment. I hope to gain more insight on various ways to help my community at the Millennium Fellowship and share my ideas with our fellows. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: SHEcan
My project is focused on promoting gender equality by breaking down the barriers and stereotypes that limit equal opportunities for everyone. I want to raise awareness about gender discrimination, challenge harmful beliefs, and help create policies that give everyone—regardless of gender—equal access to education, jobs, and leadership roles.
I’m working on this through community workshops, educational programs, and collaborating with local organizations to spread the message and provide practical tools for change. My goal is to help people understand gender inequality and encourage them to take action in their everyday lives.
In the long term, I want to create a fairer society where everyone, no matter their gender, has the chance to succeed and contribute.

Diana got her passion for women's human rights from seeing the people in her community be disadvantaged and unfairly treated due to the fact that they where women and treated like they deserved less. She wants to use the opportunity given to her by the Millennium to help her community by reaching out to people about this problem and learn more from the different minds she will interact with.
