United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Global climate connect

Global Climate Connect is an organization focused on addressing climate change through awareness campaigns, plastic-free initiatives, and tree-planting efforts. Our mission is to educate communities about the impact of climate change, promote sustainable practices, and restore ecosystems through active engagement and grassroots action. We aim to reduce plastic pollution, encourage eco-friendly alternatives, and work towards carbon sequestration by planting trees. Through partnerships with schools, local organizations, and businesses, we create a collaborative platform for people to take part in meaningful environmental change.

About the Millennium Fellow

Natasha nanyangwe is a passionate climate activist dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and advocating for sustainable practices.
born and raised in a small Town called solwezi ,and currently a law student at the university of Lusaka. Natasha developed a deep connection for nature at a young age which fueled her to fight for a safer, clean and greener environment for all.
Natasha's advocacy works keeps extending beyond local initiatives,
Holding more national awareness campaigns to address climate challenges, through ther unwavering dedication and leadership, Natasha continues to inspire others to take action towards a more sustainable future for generations to come.
