About the Millennium Fellow

Foluso Akinniyi is a driven and passionate young lady, born and bred in Western Nigeria, and currently studying for her MBBS degree in the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo state; following her first degree in Medical Physiology, from the University of Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria.
From a pretty young age, Foluso has been greatly impassioned by the concept of gender inequality, inequity and exclusivity. In the littlest ways, she has made it a point of duty to stand against societal biases and stereotypes against women; and most importantly, encourage female empowerment and inclusivity.
Foluso hopes to further specialize in her medical career as a Consultant Gynecologist and use this as a means to access policy making bodies regarding women health and rights.
