Millennium Fellowship Project: Her Voice Matters
Her Voice Matters initiatives is based on creating equitable and sustainable future where every girl in Nigeria has full autonomy over her future, life and health and eventually design a future that no longer tolerates gender discrimination/stereotypes through awareness, education, health and policy reform advocacy especially at the local level, to address the challenges faced by women and enact legal protections to secure their rights. Including the male gender was very important as they can also help in advocating for and supporting their female counterparts. Girls experiencing abuse or other issues can seek counselling, mentorship and peer support in a supportive environment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ilori Oluwabukunayomi Ruth is a young, highly passionate and vibrant student who wish to have impact in her society. She is currently an undergrad studying Public Health in Osun State University, Nigeria. While currently engaged in academic activities, she puts in effort for volunteering and giving back to the society.
Her zeal for giving back to the society paved the way for many volunteering acts in several society such as Red Cross Society, safeguardHER and some other non governmental organizations. Being very close to finishing her University education,she hopes to reach many,whose lives she can impact and also have a strong footing when aspiring for shores beyond her horizon. Going Global is her desire.
