UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT ZITA CHIDERA EZENO, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nnewi | Nnewi, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 1

" The unique aspect of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is even though there is some genetic predisposition to them, environmental factors are key to their pathogenesis and these factors are modifiable. This has guided my passion to contribute to lessening the burden of NCDs, and for the purpose of this fellowship, with a special focus on cardiovascular diseases. Being a Millennium fellow will afford me the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals within and outside my campus, collaborate on innovative projects, and gain practical experience to drive positive change even on a global scale. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Pulse Project
The Pulse Project is an initiative aimed at addressing cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) by raising awareness on the devastating impact of CVDs, promoting education on heart health, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices, and creating accessible and affordable healthcare options in partnership with relevant stakeholders. We believe in collaborative efforts to create a healthier future for ourselves and our communities.
