" Millenium fellowship is an impeccable pool of young thinkers, innovators and problem solvers. It will expose me to a very wide network, that will help me collaborate, learn and fuel my ideas into action. The work I do helps me be part of the solution-the world is filled with a lot of injustice and iniquity, not something I like to see that's why even if I can be the slightest glimmer of hope because of what I advocate for, I'll do it. That's what I love about my work. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Water, Environmental Education Project (SWEEP)

"The project called SWEEP -Sustainable Water Environmental Health Project is a project aimed at educating women especially in market places about proper waste management, water and sanitation. An African proverb goes, “If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.”
SWEEP is a project that aims and addresses the elephant that has been in the room of our central business district town center, which is poor waste management and poor sanitation practices in the marketplace.
The project recognizes that women are play a vital role in society; as mothers, wives, workers, sisters, they have the power to influence people around them once they themselves have been impacted.
Starting with Soweto market, SWEEP aims at ensuring women in the marketplace practice clean hygiene as they work by educating them on the impact of unsanitary practices and advocating for clean and safe water as well as proper waste management."
