United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Seeing women in decision making positions and seeing gender equality prevail has always been my passion and vision and now it's my mission. I believe that developmental goals will be more effective and meaningful when both males and females are involved in decision making. In order to meet the needs of each gender development processes and projects. The skill I will gain from the millennium will make my social impact not only to my University but also to the country and the world at large. I am excited to increase my anticipatory competence through learning new skills and gaining knowledge from other follows. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Futures Initiative

Educated the public (youths) about the significance of mental well-being in our daily activities including decision making.
Targeted Munali secondary school and we engaged in an interactive discussion which was a success and lasted for approximately 4-5 hours

About the Millennium Fellow

Serah Mulongoti Is a bright, young and globally competitive third year Development studies major and minoring in Gander studies at the University of Zambia. She was born in Zambia, Copper built, Ndola. She is truly an asset to the world. For as long as she could remember, serah has always been passionate about her advocacies for Gender equality, involving women in decision making and social, economic and political development. This drive and ardour translated itself from Serah's experience in highschool and University life. In highschool and in first year of her University life, she was involved in various debates activities which also at times addressed Gender equality. However, in the three years she's been a Gender minor in university she has successfully acquired knowledge in Gender studies which has made her realize as to why most women are not in decision making positions. Which through her interest, experience and acquired knowledge she plans to continue in the future. Serah aspires to be in a professional field where she can cultivate these advocacies further, and provide her own contribution in the development of the United Nations Sustainable Goals.
