Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth for Green

Youths for green is an initiative that was developed by 7 Millennium fellows from the University of Juba, South Sudan. The initiative was developed to help accelerate the implementation of sustainable development goal 13 (Action For Climate) in South Sudan through a series of innovative programs designed to foster a sense of responsibility and leadership in caring for our planet. In an era where climate change has reached critical levels, it is essential to cultivate a generation of informed and passionate young leaders. This initiative recognizes that today’s youth are not only the future custodians of our planet but also have the potential to drive meaningful change in their communities right now. By equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for effective climate action, we can empower them to advocate for sustainable practices and contribute to a healthier planet.
