United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

The project I undertake is driven by the desire to uplift marginalized South Sudanese Youth and Women and create systemic change that benefits all members of Society. I want to see that every Youth and women have access Knowledge about Sustainability, Climate Change, food Security and other global environmental issues. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth for Green
Youths for green is an initiative that was developed by 7 Millennium fellows from the University of Juba, South Sudan. The initiative was developed to help accelerate the implementation of sustainable development goal 13 (Action For Climate) in South Sudan through a series of innovative programs designed to foster a sense of responsibility and leadership in caring for our planet. In an era where climate change has reached critical levels, it is essential to cultivate a generation of informed and passionate young leaders. This initiative recognizes that today’s youth are not only the future custodians of our planet but also have the potential to drive meaningful change in their communities right now. By equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for effective climate action, we can empower them to advocate for sustainable practices and contribute to a healthier planet.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kwaje Hillary is a Brilliant and Young Environmental Science Student at University of Juba. He was born and grew up in South Sudan, One of the most conflicted Youngest Country in Eastern Africa and is currently pursuing his Honors Degree Program in Environmental Studies. Truly, Kwaje has been passionate about SDGs Advocacy, Sustainability , Environmental Management, Climate Smart Agriculture using Plastice Wastes and Cement Trashes I.e SDG #13 and #2. His Professionalism in those fields has contributed in addressing Climate Change and Food Insecurity Problems in South Sudan. He is looking gorward to growing in the Millennium Fellowship to accelerate Social Impacts and Beyond.
