United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: ATILAS
A.T.I.L.A is an independent project led by Catherine Were fellow, it advocates for gender equalities, equity, social justice and fairness in the society through arts. It aims to engage the University of Nairobi community and the Kisumu community to reflect on social issues through discussions that simultaneously on deeper appreciation for the arts. During millennium period ( August - December 2024) A.T.I.L.A will host a minimum of 3 online events a mixture of screenings, art making workshops, routable discussions and making visits to either children or elderly homes. A.T.I.L.A aims to reach 150+ people to help in developing UNAI principles and UN's SDG(s)
About the Millennium Fellow
Catherine Adhiambo Were is a young brilliant and intelligent woman at the University of Nairobi. She is a first year pursuing bachelor in diplomacy and international studies in university of Nairobi. She is passionate to make a change in the world as she advocates for gender equalities, social justice, equity and fairness in the society. She views challenges affecting people on the global context such as climate change, security threats as well as pandemics. She would love to contribute to development of United Nation's sustainable goals. In collaboration with the fellows, she request s for millennium support to tlher change her community which is highly affected by climate change that is floods
