University of Nairobi Parklands | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 3

" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will help advance my advocacy skills to impact the lives of boys and girls in my community. In the long run, through this fellowship, I hope to make a global influence. I am thrilled to be part of this visionary group, which aims to make societal transformation. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Comprehensive Wellness
The project focuses on educating adolescent girls in public high schools about menstrual health, sexual reproductive health, and mental health. The team aims to provide talks on these topics, distribute menstrual products, and encourage the formation of student-led clubs to ensure continued learning. They also seek to foster mental health-seeking behavior and create supportive environments where students can safely share their experiences, breaking the stigma around these important issues.
About the Millennium Fellow
Doris Jebiwott is a law student at the University of Nairobi Parklands Campus. Doris is passionate about advocacies for girls on menstrual hygiene product availability and the welfare of street families. She hopes that through her projects, many lives will be positively impacted. She believes that ensuring girls in marginalized areas have access to menstrual hygiene products can minimize gender disparities. Similarly, by checking on the welfare of many street families, the lives of children forced to live on the streets would improve. Doris aspires to cultivate her advocacy skills further and be able to impact many vulnerable groups.
